BANKING & FINANCIAL SERVICES

Agents your model risk and security teams can approve.

Banks already know how to govern people, payments and models. Taskflo lets you govern AI agents the same way: with named owners, limits, segregation of duties and a record that stands up to examination.

KYC REVIEW FILE

  1. Customer file
  2. Policy comparison
  3. Analyst approval
Analyst owns the risk-rating decision. Illustrative process, not a customer deployment.

WHY AGENTS STALL HERE

Model risk already has a playbook. Agents do not fit it yet.

Customer information, payment authority and model risk need more than a promising pilot.

  1. Customer data must stay within the agreed boundary.

  2. Every action needs an accountable owner.

  3. Examiners need evidence they can inspect.

PROCESS STUDIES

Three banking workflows, bounded.

KYC periodic review

Gather updated information and draft the review. An analyst approves risk-rating changes; the agent cannot update the customer record.

  1. Read
  2. Compare
  3. Analyst review

Payment exception handling

Investigate a held payment and propose a resolution. Releases above a threshold require a second approver.

  1. Investigate
  2. Propose
  3. Approve

Credit memo preparation

Assemble financials and draft the memo. The credit officer owns every judgement and signs off.

  1. Assemble
  2. Draft
  3. Sign off

Example workflows are illustrative designs, not customer case studies.

The three questions, answered for a bank.

  1. Where does the data go?

Review your account boundary, model-service terms, region and network paths.

  2. Who can act on our behalf?

Declare tools, owners, limits and approval roles. Keep judgement with the qualified people.

  3. Can we prove what happened?

Review the version, decision record and evidence-retention controls together.

REGULATORY CONTEXT

Credit decisions are high-risk uses.

Creditworthiness assessment and credit scoring for individuals are listed in Annex III 5(b) of the EU AI Act; fraud detection is expressly excluded from that listing. Applicable Annex III high-risk obligations generally begin on 2 December 2027. Article 27 addresses fundamental rights impact assessments for these uses.

Keep preparation separate from the credit decision. A KYC summary, a payment-release proposal and a creditworthiness assessment do not automatically have the same classification. Map who provides and deploys the system, then review GDPR and applicable financial-services requirements with your legal and model-risk teams.

General information, not legal advice. EU AI Act and 2026 amendment. Your legal and professional advisers determine the applicable requirements.
